 Prelude in C with no C (1999)

This is probably the first musical piece ever composed where the keynote is NEVER played. A hard but fascinating harmony exercise!

 Quick analysis of the tonalities used in this piece:

Measures 1 to 11: Tonality of C major (with no C)

Measures 12 to 22: Same theme as before, but in C minor (with no C)

Measures 23 to 25: Short modulation to the tonality of C sharp major (with no C sharp)

Measures 26 to 43 (end): Back to the tonality of C major (with no C)

 Harmonisation of Pi Version 2 (1996)

Same subject as before. The chords used in this piece have the same fundamental note as before, but they are differently harmonized and enriched. It is a good example showing that even when the harmonic canvas is strictly imposed (here by the decimals of number pi), it is always possible to produce very different pieces. This version is played on an electric guitar.
