Quick analysis of the tonalities used in this piece: Measures 1 to 11: Tonality of C major (with no C) Measures 12 to 22: Same theme as before, but in C minor (with no C) Measures 23 to 25: Short modulation to the tonality of C sharp major (with no C sharp) Measures 26 to 43 (end): Back to the tonality of C major (with no C) ... Harmonisation of Pi Version 2 (1996) Same subject as before. The chords used in this piece have the same fundamental note as before, but they are differently harmonized and enriched. It is a good example showing that even when the harmonic canvas is strictly imposed (here by the decimals of number pi), it is always possible to produce very different pieces.
